Like a few other users, I am finding local access very slow. It seems to possibly involve MySQL because I notice it more on database driven web sites.

 

Even if I turn off firewalls and any antivirus, a local site takes about 6 - 8 seconds to display. I am running Wordpress 2.7 with no plugins and very very little content. Just entering the Wordpress admin takes over 8 seconds.

 

Any ideas? Is this normal?

 

I am running version 3.5.
