Using US as a full blown server

Ok this is my first post so please bear with me.

 

I want to use US as a full blown server for our comapnies intrantet site. At this point I am not concerned about keeping others from the outside of work of view it.

 

I just need to know if this can be done, i.e. how would i get it to look at the i.p. and then point a domain name to go to that.

 

Such as, www.mycompanyintrant.com
