Ok, ok, perhaps more than one word then...........many thanks for Uniform, after months of head scratching and monitor punching I have the solution I was looking for.

    Configure browser push notifications
    Chrome (Android)
    1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
    2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
    3. Adjust your preference.
