Can't drop tables or databases or assign drop rights to another user

Featured Replies

Hi y'all,

I'm trying to install phpbb2 to my 3.4 server, but the script fell over part way through. That's not the problem (well not yet anyway!).

I thought I'd reset everything by dropping the database I had created and starting again, but I found that I can't drop the database!

I can't drop any tables either!

Looking at the privelages, user 'root' does not have drop rights. But as there isn't any other user on the system that can, I don't see how I can ever drop anything.

Is this a MySQL issue or UniServer? Anyone know?

Cheers,

Paul.
