  1. The nature of my work forces me to use portable application. I used to do everything manually but I found out Portableapps.com had their own launcher that fetched, installed and later update the apps so I didn't have too. I got the portable version for most of my apps from there and having the launcher update apps for me was a real time saver and ensured I always had the latest (most secure) version of my apps. I wanted to include Uniform Server too but it wasn't on the list... Looking around I found there had been a handful of requests for it already: http://portableapps.com/node/28879 http://portableapps.com/node/53722 http://portableapps.com/node/54783 The oldest dating back to our own forum user - Shaman (that was 10 years ago!): http://portableapps.com/node/674 I believe this would be beneficial for both the users (pros listed above) but also for the devs having their apps offered on a new platform, to user that might (sadly) not heard of it. I have found a nice handful of apps from their launcher myself. I would love if the devs would provide some feedback since the portableapps forum had no statement about why or why not. Even if the response is negative, I believe it would be nice to hear why and finally get an answer. Heck I would create an account on their forums just to close those threads.
