  1. All good, I have worked out that for some reason 'localhost' doesn't work as the host name, and 127.0.0.1 needs to be used instead for some reason! Jimo
  2. Hi Everyone, I am new to Uniform Server and Joomla, have a little knowledge, but only enough to make me dangerous! While trying to install Joomla, using Uniform Server, I keep getting the error: Could not connect to the database. Connector returned number: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL I have tried a number of things, usually things that mean I need to reinstall Uniform Server, after a few attempts to do this stage of the install, I get the following message. An error has occurred.: Cookies do not appear to be enabled on your browser client. You will not be able to install the application with this feature disabled. Alternatively, there could also be a problem with the server's session.save_path. If this is the case, please consult your hosting provider if you don't know how to check or fix this yourself. My cookies are enabled, I know this, and it occurs in both Firefox and IE. Can anyone shed some light on this for me. I am running two separate machines, one Vista, the other Windows 7, it happens on both. Both Uniform Server and Joomla are the latest downloads. Thank, Jim
