Solved I think I have found the problem. My editor seems to have introduced some rogue characters which stop the parsing. I have u 3.5 installed and have been using it happily for some time. I now have a most odd problem. I have a quite well developed website which works fine. However, yesterday I was developing some further pages and on parsing the code all I get is a blank page. I cant get even the simplest new page to parse eg <?php echo "hw"; <? If I copy a page that works, rename it and try and view in localhost I dont get any PHP but will get the html. I dont know where to look to solve this. I use PHP designer professional from mPS software as an editor.This shows no errors on debug. Does anyone have any suggestion as to what paths I can follow please?

I have reinstalled the software and had the same error message. However, the widow with the error message offers a link to open a new phpmyadmin widow, which then does open phpmyadmin with the mysql details. Is this correct?

I have had a previous instal of uniform server 3.3 and i had a fox serve package. I removed these . The search did not come up with LIBMYSQL.dll. Shall i reinstal 3.5?

I have just installed 3.5 and have the same/similar error to another posting on this forum. I get the error message Welcome to phpMyAdmin2.10.2 error #1045 - Acess denied for user: root@127.0.1 (using passowrd YES) I have not loaded any webs or changed any settings. Is there another way to access Mysql? Thanks Fido.

Hi , I had the same issue. You need to make some changes to unlock the servers as on instal they are set up for localhost only. To put the servers online checkout Mike Gleaves pages at the unicenter on putting the srvers online. Fido

I have installed 3.3 on Vista. When I start the server the favicon icon displays and then fails to connect to the localhost. If i type in the a_panel location it finds it and all is well. The reason I mention this is I have had problems installing moodle where after the second installation page just a blank page is shown. How can I establish that it is not 3.3 a first step in sorting this out? Thanks

Hi, Yes I am trying the nuke forum. i have established that the index file is read and it calls the main file, which seems to have all the checks and config links. Somehwere in here in goes astray. What I dont understand is why no errors. Anyway, thanks for your help and I will plod on trying to find where it goes astray. Fido

Sorry to be unclear. The problem is I get a blank browser for nule/index.php and admin.php I have errors enabled in the config.php(nuke) and php.ini.No errors show. It is a problem with php nuke and therefore probably not specific to the forum, but I wondered wheteher anyone else had successfully installed php-nuke as I thought the problem might be where I had placed my files(html files in diskw/www/nuke/.

Thanks for coming back. MySql is started and I am not getting any errors. Error reporting is configured for php_nuke. Fido

Has anyone expeirence of installing php nuke on the uniform server? I have the files available in the www folder but no responce at the local host. Other files work Ok. Apologies if this is outside the scope of this forum. Fido

Hi, I found the link and it was Erfan Server. The link is http://sourceforge.net/projects/erfanserver Incidently the Disk Start VB Script was identified as malicious by my virus checker. I think that Uniforn server has a better interface so I will try that. Fido
