Are you using Uniform Server or are you using your own installation of MySQL?

If you are using the standard installation and not the Uniform Server one then you will need to go to the MySQL website: www.mysql.com Or at least list what you did? Did you try password root?

Umm... you may have to reinstall it... OR check the file IPB keeps the settings in. It should be the name of the domain you set it up as or your IP. Whatever people are going to be using is better.

You probably set it up with localhost instead of using http://your-domain

Not enough information is listed on their website so i really dont know, but from what i think i dont think you need a server to run it... You just need those packages... so i am guessing it wont work unless you know what you are really doing.. Try asking them for support...

I want you to try it one more time and after the scheduler shutdown the server, go to My Computer and tell me if you see the W:/ drive?

You probably have the commands wrong... i dont know how the scheduler runs command so cant much help here, but what command are you using? or are you just running the .bat file? If it hangs and gives and error about the W:/ drive, it means that the virtual SUBST drive was not shut down....

Joomla already has tons of Uniform Server Forks.... even though they wherent mentioned in that blog post. If you visit the main Joomla forum, and search, you will see tons of Stand Alone Server based on Uniform Server... but if you are trying to make one, as long as the LICENSE stays, and the CREDIT is given, then you are good. Please note that in the future, we will have plugins for all this kind of software.... Thanks.

Trying to ask iapain what his capability is also.. or if we need to get another extra developer who can do that cause not to lie, i can't and i dont have time to learn that now with full course load and full time working. For the DYNDNS Settup, someone wrote a nice little tutorial in the main Support Forum. Check it out. Its Pinned. About the other problem, A, what you have to do is go to the /www/ folder, edit the .htaccess file with Notepad and comment the line where it state you should to open the server. After that, on your modem you have to forward all calls from port 80 to the machine with Uniform Server on there.... On your linksys router admin, go to Application & Gaming, under it you should see Port Rage Forward, Application: Web, Start: 80, End: 80, IP: (IP of the computer you have Uniform Server on) and click Enable, and you should be able to access it outside your network now....

Iconv is not supported in PHP 4, its a PHP 5 extension thats being used by new versions of PHPMyAdmin. It seems this version has a bug or something if we cant get it to turn that model off and not to allow it to use it.... Did you turn the server off before trying this step?
