juman Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 Is it possible to work around the usage of the subst command? I'm at a customer site right now and don't have access rights to use the subst command unfortunately. So has anyone any idea how to work around it and be able to use the server without using subst? /juman Quote
AlleyKat Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 You can try extracting the diskw folder contents to the root of a drive and modify start.bat and various setup files to use that - but I'm not sure its such a good idea. But maybe worth a try. Quote
Ric Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 WOW that sounds like fun! I just remembered this page: http://forum.uniformserver.com/index.php?s...&hl=drive+d Skip my section and onto Olajide’s this may be the solution you are looking for. Quote
juman Posted December 8, 2006 Author Report Posted December 8, 2006 Well copying all files to the c:\ root or starting it as a service it not possible for me unfortunately. Does anyone know if it is possible to start the server with a subpath. If I know my USB shows up as g: and the server is in g:\bin\UniServer if I just can rewrite the scripts to use the full path?
