  1. I ran version XIV from an external HD without problems. Now I installed XV in a NAS (assigned Z:). I copied in the content of \www from the HD, and started. It replied with above message, and shut down. I I presume the aledged space is somewhere in a file path or name. Is there a usual suspect? How can I find a space in a big tree? What

    upgrade problem

I'm not sure this is the exact right forum... I have run a TNG genealogical test website on Server XIII for years. I Installed TNG as I did on the web. The on line public version must now run on a PHP version that is not in XIII, so when I found it IN XIV I decided to upgrade.uniform Server to XIV. I downloaded v14.02, and copied the WWW folder to this new version. Now I can start the site, but TNG throws an error: Error: TNG is not communicating with your database. Please check your database settings and try again. What have I done wrong? Should I have copied VIV over XIII? I have no idea...
  3. I have Uniform Server Zero XIII 13.3.2 running on my Desktop (C:), long enough to have completely forgotten if and what and how I set it up at start. It is the working environment for a TNG genealogy site. I regularly copy the database to my online webbased site. Works fine. I have bought a laptop (and a NAS too) now, in order to be able to work in the much cooler living room during the ever warmer summers.. Now I have copied the whole folder with the server and all of the webite to the root of a network drive, with Z: as the assigned drive letter. Since Uniform Server is portable, I expected it to run automagically. But it doesn't. Killed the first instance, rebooted, started the new one: no success. I have responded to messages to an extent, that I don't know the current status anymore. Will do the copy operation again, but what must I do to have it succeed?
