    MySQL plugins?

Hi! I noticed that the UniServer 3.3 has various plugins, like PHP4, etc. I could not locate MySQL plugins, though. They would be nice to have because this way local and live environments could be matched. Ulternatives are to use earlier releases of UniServer which have MySQL4 installad, but I am not sure what one would loose on the servers performance. Thanks for your advice, --doc

    phpMyBackupPro

Hi!, I eut still entered a valid username/password but still cannot login. I use one of server users name/pass. Is is not what meant? Thanks, --doc
  4. I am back again. (I expected an e-mail ntice, but I guess I did not set it properly). I am pretty unfamiliar as to how to manipulate MySQL db's or their tables. Hence, I do not know how to check 4.x compatibility in the exported database. Can you be more specific as to where can I find the checklist and how to check for this problem. I am just at the point, where I should give up using my ready made Mambo 4.5.2 postal and rebuilt it from scrath using Joomla7. However, again it would be very nice if one could reinstall MySQLx.x (any version) under UniServer. This way I could match the version in the local and live enviromnent. Is it possible? Thank a lot! --doc
  5. Sorry, I forgot to answer your question: It is whe I export the DB of my Mambo installation on your UniServer, and then import the same DB to as Mambo installation on a live site using MySQL4.x. doc
  6. I am sure the Mambo is NOT compatible to MySQL 5. But still seemingly is, except of this problem, which to me seems like a formal one (like the having to do with the sequence of columns, or the like). Can the UniServer be modified (can I modify it with new installations) in a way so that the MySQL and phpMyAdmin (most importantly the former) is matching that of the Mambo installation? regards,
  7. Hi! I am having similar problems but with German charcters. In a live -> UniServer migration the installation survives in that the German characters are properly shown. Now on the live MySQL.4.0.25 server I assume the default charset is latin1. This is what I set in the phpMyAdmin for the MySQL database into which I imported the live sites, exported database. I also went into the \user\local\mysql\bin\my_small.cnf and assed the two lines you suggested as character-set-server = latin1 collation-server = latin1 I rerun the server. The server comes up, MySQL runs by phpMyAdmin stalls (actually does not come up). Resetting to the originals with the \user\local\mysql\bin\my_small.cnf cures this problem. However, becasue of the lower version number of the live MySQL relative to that in the UniServer3.3, I have to export the DB with MySQL4.0 Compatibility ON. The German charcters are NOT shown correctly. This effectively makes local development for the live site impossible. Thanks for your help, --doc

    Upgrade MySQL Version

Hi, I have an ISP who runs php 4.3.11, phpMyAdmin 2.6.4-pl2, and MySQL 4.0.23. or MySQL 4.0.25 On my local Uniform Server the versions are: Welcome to phpMyAdmin 2.6.4-pl4 MySQL 5.0.17 running on localhost as root@localhost On my Mambo Stand Alone Server the versions are: Welcome to phpMyAdmin 2.6.0-rc3 MySQL 4.1.14-nt running on localhost as root@localhost Is there any way to match my ISP's configuration on the UniServer? Thanks, --doc
  9. Hi, I have a nicely running Mambo application on a live site. I developed it locally using the Mambo Stand Alone Server (MSAS). I want to abondone MSAS because I like the UniServer 3.3 more, because it gives better handle on things. Neither my good running MSAS nor the live installation runs without this error on the UniServer: DB function failed with error number 1054 Unknown column 'c.access' in 'on clause' SQL=SELECT c.*, g.name AS groupname, cc.name, u.name AS editor, f.content_id AS frontpage, s.title AS section_name, v.name AS author FROM mos_content AS c, mos_categories AS cc, mos_sections AS s LEFT JOIN mos_groups AS g ON g.id = c.access LEFT JOIN mos_users AS u ON u.id = c.checked_out LEFT JOIN mos_users AS v ON v.id = c.created_by LEFT JOIN mos_content_frontpage AS f ON f.content_id = c.id WHERE c.state >= 0 AND c.catid=cc.id AND cc.section=s.id AND s.scope='content' ORDER BY s.title, c.catid, cc.ordering, cc.title, c.ordering LIMIT 0,10 Thanks for your help, --doc
  10. Hi, could your perhaps give me some hits as to how to display German charcters properly. I use Mambo, and in my local (Mambo Stand Alone Server, MSAS) installation, everythings works just fine. I like the UniServer, so I want to abondon MSAS. I created a new installation on UniServer 3.3. The german charcters are correctly shown in the content but not in the headings and menu-text. I have tried everythings, but I guess I just do not get it. The MySQL daatabase of the MSAS did not allow defining the charset, so I assume it was latin1. Now, I created one DB on the UniServer with latin1general, lat1german1ci, lat1german2ci, lat1swedishci, lat1binary, none worked. In addition I have got this DB error: DB function failed with error number 1054 Unknown column 'c.access' in 'on clause' SQL=SELECT c.*, g.name AS groupname, cc.name, u.name AS editor, f.content_id AS frontpage, s.title AS section_name, v.name AS author FROM mos_content AS c, mos_categories AS cc, mos_sections AS s LEFT JOIN mos_groups AS g ON g.id = c.access LEFT JOIN mos_users AS u ON u.id = c.checked_out LEFT JOIN mos_users AS v ON v.id = c.created_by LEFT JOIN mos_content_frontpage AS f ON f.content_id = c.id WHERE c.state >= 0 AND c.catid=cc.id AND cc.section=s.id AND s.scope='content' ORDER BY s.title, c.catid, cc.ordering, cc.title, c.ordering LIMIT 0,10 Any help is much appreciated, --doc
