Updating from 3.1 to 3.2a?

Recommended Posts

I've been running US 3.1 for awhile now and have been really happy with it so I need to throw in a monkey wrench! :)

Is there a guide on updating US from a previous version to the latest without changing any of your settings or destroying the preciouse data held in your mysql tables?

Or is my best bet to just start from scratch and make the necessary changes to the .htaccess files (and other files i don't remember) and create the mysql tables again?

This server is just so damn stable I've forgotten most of the changes that will need to be made from a clean install. :P :D

Unless you changed something in your httpd.conf file and the php.ini file all you need to do is copy over the W:/www folder to the new installations and also the W:/usr/local/mysql/data/ folder to the new installations. The data dir is the database dir so you do not need to recreate or do anything... and the www folder i the shtdocs folder...

Hope this helps...

Thanks.
