Uniformserver 3.3 on Vista

I have installed 3.3 on Vista.

When I start the server the favicon icon displays and then fails to connect to the localhost.

If i type in the a_panel location it finds it and all is well.

The reason I mention this is I have had problems installing moodle where after the second installation page just a blank page is shown.

How can I establish that it is not 3.3 a first step in sorting this out?

Thanks

Let me try this on a friends Vista, or if someone else using Vista can also help us try and see if they have problems with 3.3 running on Windows Vista.

If you are trying to add it to start menu, you will have to do that manually yourself. Just make a shortcut and put it there.

About the problem, did you ever tried opening http://localhost ?

This little gem sums up our UK problems!

“Important: Windows Vista and your ********** service

Microsoft has launched a new operating system called Windows Vista. If you are thinking of upgrading your system to Vista, please read the important information below.

The introduction of Windows Vista has caused some problems throughout the industry. These are due due to incompatibility issues with other software. If you are upgrading to Vista there are scenarios where you may experience problems, such as being unable to connect to the Internet. This is due to incompatibility issues with your existing modem software and Vista. “

Is not UniServer, existing software, or have I missed the plot. All my software talks to XP. As a humble consumer the bable fish should remain in communication with Vista otherwise it becomes redundant. Interesting litigation extinction of bable fish due to !

I am not a Luddite but when something works (XP) it should be enhanced not con singed to the waste bin.

One day! Well we will just move on.
