I can run the uniform server from myUSB drive and it works if you manually input the http://127.0.0.1/apanel/ of the address yet when I try to run it from my machine so that I can use my USB drive on another comp it will not install. I have read through the forum yet cannot find a clear concise answer as to what to do.

1 My Firewall allows port 80 to be accessed

2 I do not have skype on my computer

3 WAMP works on my comp

This is the following message I get................ post-2893-1187474419_thumb.jpg

Can you please advise me what to do I would like have this installed on my dev computer so I do not have to install it everytime. I do like the interface and design.

Oh I found out about your server from CMX http://www.communitymx.com/content/article...1&cid=E5752 positive write up so here I am. As I am new to php and mySQL this interface is more like my cpanel on my site so not such a steep learning curve

Thank you in advance

Dont worry we will have you running in no time. First of all i see form the picture that you installed it as service? Did you?

Second, i want you to download a fresh copy from the website and then run the Server Start.bat and let me know if it works....

If you have installed as a service, go to folder C:\UniServerX.X and double click on the file Uninstall.bat this will kill the service. Follow Olajide’s advice and there should be no problems.

All the best

Ric. :D

PS I cannot confirm that because I do not and have access to Vista: :D

Hence back to Olajide.

Not a question but at 7pm Sunday evening here in New Zealand it is nice to come to a forum where the newbies are not made to feel awkward and stupid .................to add to that even I feel a little encouraged to read more of the forum and see what I may learn before I bug you again.

Thank you for your time and effort

OK told you I would be back with more questions I hope you do not mind. Might as well use this topic rather than start another.

Got localhost working great thanks for the help

Now I have downloaded PEAR wish to install it got that far but where do I amend this line and in which file please

Note: To use PEAR without any problems you need to add your

PEAR Installation path (W:\home\admin\www\plugins\pear/PEAR)

to your include_path.

Where do I find the include file and what am I including sorry to be a pain but really getting into this.

Off to bed now as I need a rest my brain has never had to work this hard :D but I am loving it.

I have all the others that I wish to protect from the little fingers that use this machine this is the only one left.

If I am going to master this last thing I want is grubby little fingers deleting all my efforts.

Thank you for your assistance :D

Good morning to you

Yes I am here again I have downloaded Uni-Tray it is I think in the correct directory when I go to run it I get

Windows cannot find 'diskw/home/admin/program/uniserv.exe.' Make sure you typed the name correctly, and try again.

Now as the readme file says delete 'diskw' I tried that still did not work.

So where to now I have virtual drive running and I start Uniform Server from my c drive. I copied the files to my virtual drive still will not work. I uninstalled it and started again still not working this is getting me so mad grrrrrrrrr. Must be having a blonde moment :D

Thank you for your help Off to try some php now will check back later. :D

There is not yet an official UniTray plugin for Apollo - It is being worked on.

You can try his unofficial UniTray plugin it is a cut down version

http://center.uniformserver.com/us_35_unit..._install_1.html

If you installed Unserver as a service it is not suitable for that. The cut down version is for a standard Uniserver installation only. :D

All the best

Ric
